Paula Abdul’s new manager says she may not be returning to
American Idol as a judge. According to a report in the LA Times,
David Sonenberg says he doesn’t have a proposal for a new contract
for the former pop star. Auditions for the ninth season of the talent
competition begin next month. Paula recently said she’d been invited
to remain on the show and was optimistic about negotiating a new deal.
The other American Idol judges are Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and
newcomer Kara DioGuardi.
